Pole-Da-Cise Health and Safety at Obsessions TLC
· A disclaimer should be read in full, signed and dated before you start Pole-Da-Cise at Obsessions TLC.
· Please note all fire exists
· Floor area should be kept clean and clear/please use the changing area and coat hooks provided.
· No food and drink to be consumed in the studio. Water dispenser is provided outside the studio area.
· Pole wipes are provided. Please clean the poles after each session.
· Crash mats are provided- Bare feet or flat shoes/boots should be worn when you use these. Please refrain from dangerous moves without an instructor present.
· In the un-likely event that the poles moves. Please refrain from using it and tell a member of staff.
· Never eat a heavy meal just before any form of exercise.
· DO NOT undertake pole-da-cise if you are pregnant. Although you maybe advised that exercise is key in a healthy pregnancy, we would recommend that you do not do pole work due to its nature.
· Check with your doctor if you are on any kind of medication or have ongoing health issues before starting a course.
· Obsessions TLC is a non-smoking premises.
· NEVER force or strain yourself with any move or spin.
· If you are in any pain please take the time out to stop and rest.
· Some moves may feel uncomfortable when learning however you should not feel PAIN. Please make your instructor aware of how you are feeling.
· NO OIL OR LOTIONS should be used on your skin when using the poles, this includes fake tans applicated in the previous 2 hours.
· For maximum grip, flesh to pole is best. Heeled shoes are not required and if you choose to wear them you do so at your own risk.
· Warm up before any form of exercise. TAKE YOUR TIME at least 5-10 mins.
· Cool down after any exercise. TAKE YOUR TIME. At least 5-10 mins.
· DO NOT exercise if you have been drinking alcohol within the last 12 hours.
This is for women of any shape and size and age in good health.
